    A TIMELESS ESSENTIAL PRODUCT

A stylish blend of steel and glass, the Scimitar Table was designed by the famous duo Fabricius and Kastholm in 1964. Named after the sweeping blade used by farmers to chop down crops, the FK Scimitar Table gets its name from the similar curves of its metal base. Set at the perfect height for informal entertaining, the FK Scimitar Table adds Fabricius & Kastholm's trademark panache to whichever room it features in.

Preben Juhl Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm were both Danish designers in the 20th century who were inspired by functionalism and the resoluteness of Scandinavian design. Both born in 1931, they met each other at the School of Interior Design where they both studied in the 1950s where Fabrricius trained Kastholm as a metal worker while he was studying cabinet making. Being partners for more than 8 years, the two was able to found a studio where numerous timeless pieces were born. They bagged the very first German prize for “Good Shape” (“Gute Form”) in 1969 for the FK bucket seat because it of its classical and modern design.

The name Fabricius and Kastholm is only used to describe the characteristics of the goods made to the original design, and not as a trademark.
