View all products(4)Grant Featherston was born in Geelong, Victoria in 1922 and was considered one of Australia’s best known designers. His furniture has win many Good Design Awards. Before serving the army, he was a self-taught Australian designer who worked in lighting and glass panels before specializing in furniture. His works have been featured in numerous museum exhibits and his modernist chairs, which had been featured in prominent Australian galleries such as the Peter Bray Gallery, are highly collectable works. His work has been featured in several museum retrospectives of post-war furniture and his designs still inspire modern designers of today.
The name Grant Featherston is only used to describe the characteristics of the goods made to the original design, and not as a trademark.
